The Fund for Sustainable Local Development invites all local civil society organizations (CSOs) from the following municipalities and cities: Priboj, Požega, Užice, Sremski Karlovci, Pirot, Zaječar, Bor, Knjaževac, Apatin and Sombor, to submit project proposals for initiatives to accelerate the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the areas of health and environment.
Proposed initiatives should refer to the following topics:
- Healthy life and healthcare available to all
- Clean and resilient local communities
- Accountable and efficient use of natural resources
- Preservation of natural and cultural heritage
Submissions should be made by CSOs in close collaboration with the respective local self-governments – and if possible – the private sector – to foster exchange, partnership, and joint action. The 2030 Agenda principle of “leaving no one behind” should feature prominently in your project proposals. The duration of the initiatives is foreseen to be up to 12 months with a budget of up to EUR 30,000.00 per initiative.
Implementation of the selected initiatives is foreseen to start in June 2021.

The application deadline is the 13th of May 2021 by 15h.
Fund for sustainable local development is a part of the “Public Finance Reform – 2030 Agenda” project supported by Swiss and the German Development Cooperation and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
*Fund for sustainable local development will support the procurement of equipment necessary for the implementation of activities, in case the equipment is intended for public use and if the amount of procurement does not exceed 35% of the total budget of the proposed initiative.
