As a contribution to the broad public discussion on the sustainable development goals (SDGs) and the implementation of the 2030 Agenda in Serbia, the environmental pillar of the “SDGs for ALL” Platform produced two videos on environmental challenges and potentials facing the municipality of Sremski Karlovci.
The first video presents the activities of local partners in the municipality of Sremski Karlovci related to protected natural areas and sustainable tourism and refers to the SDG 15 (life on land) and 12 (responsible consumption and production). The video is available at this link
The second report deals with the impact of climate change on local viticulture, as one of the most important industries in the municipality of Sremski Karlovci, and refers to the goal of sustainable development 13 (climate action), and partly to goal 12 (sustainable consumption and production). The video is available at this link
Both reports indicate the importance of localization of the universally defined SDGs, so that global long-term development aspirations are closer to the needs of communities, households and individuals.
