The webinar focuses on SDG 8, Decent work and economic growth, and especially on sub-objective 8.5, which envisages achievement of full and productive employment and decent work for all women and men, including for young people and persons with disabilities and equal pay for work of equal value, by 2030. The webinar will specifically look into the employability of people with disabilities and other hard-to-employ groups, which is measured by the indicator – Unemployment rate by gender, age and disability. 

Considering that the Republic of Serbia has integrated this goal into the National Strategy for Improving the Position of Persons with Disabilities for the period 2020-2024, which seeks to improve the overall social and economic position of persons with disabilities, active participation of all social actors is necessary to achieve the goal of the Strategy, especially the business sector. 

The webinar will facilitate exchange experiences and good practices among the representatives of the business sector and other stakeholders dealing with the issue of employment of people with disabilities and other marginalized groups. 

The webinar will feature the following panelists: Marija Škrbić Dražić, Manpower Group, Ljupka Mihajlovska, member of the Government of Serbia working group for improving the position of persons with disabilities, Milica Mišković, Responsible Business Forum and representatives of other companies with good practices. 

The event is organized within the Platform “SDGs for ALL” supported by the governments of Switzerland and Germany, and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. The project partners are the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation, the Center for Higher Economic Studies, the Belgrade Open School, the Center for Democracy Foundation, the Timok Youth Center and the Belgrade Fund for Political Excellence.
