A two-day training was held on March 16 and 17 2022 for the representatives of civil society organizations (CSOs), local self-government, public and private service providers, schools on the topic: Active local communities for sustainable development – participation in development planning and implementation of sustainable development goals at the local level.
The training was attended by the representatives of the Association “The Sombor educational center”, Independent living association for persons with disabilities, Association supporting persons with disabilities (MNRO), Association aiding blind and visually impaired, SUBNOR, Association supporting youth “BUM” from Bečej, Association Artefakt, Centar for community development – Link. The training was also attended by the representatives of the Local self-government in Sombor and Bečej, the Centre for Social work, Red Cross, and the High school for economic sciences. During the training, the participants gained knowledge on SDGs and how to successfully map the challenges related to the Sustainable development goals and identify advocacy initiatives to improve the existing strategic framework in their respective communities and were presented with models of participation in decision-making processes at the local level.
