Sustainabe development for all in the Zlatibor district

Over the past weeks, five local organizations from the Zlatibor district, selected by the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation within the “SDGs for ALL” Platform, have been implementing campaigns focusing on the achievement of SDGs in their respective municipalities.

The aim of the campaign of the Association of Citizens FORCA Požega has been to raise awareness on the importance of the local Council for Social Affairs, and to indicate how citizens and organizations can participate in the social policies making process at a local level

Association PULSE Zlatibor conducted a campaign “Health in the age of the covid-19” thus addressing the SDG 3: Good health and well-being. The aim of the campaign was to make a positive impact on the general health situation of the citizens of the Cajetina municipality by raising awareness on the main challenges and opportunities in the area of health and health protection and by providing useful information and advice for improving general health status of the local population.

Through the campaign “Decent Work for All” Uzice center for human rights and democracy informed the citizens about the topic of the lack of dignified working conditions, calling on the local self-government representative to localize SDG relevant for this topic.

Through the campaign “Safe Houses – Safety for Women and Children and Their Recovery” Užice women center looked to increase the understanding of local authorities, as well as the general public, about the need for such a specialized service. The campaign presents a prelude to the future negotiations with the Uzice local self government towards establishing a safe house in this city

And last, but by no means the least, is the campaign by the Uzice child rights center “Quality Education for All”, which deals with topics related to the achievement of the SDG 4. Quality education. The campaign raised the awareness of parents, organizations working with children and local institutions, about the importance of quality education for all, as well as about greater accessibility and inclusion, including to preschool education.
